HomePersonalizer™ considers the model, and every room, feature and option, to be products. They are all called products because they can be offered for a price, or they can be selected even if they don’t have a price (included), or they can be marketed as something that adds value to the entire home.

Products Used to Market More Products

Additionally, these products can be used as a marketing context for further products. For instance, the kitchen is a physical space and it is also a context in which a variety of islands can be offered, even including the option of no island at all. A marketing context is one of the key concepts used in the engagement marketing process of all new home products.

Putting Products on the Shelf

When offering a variety of islands (i.e. one with prep sink and microwave, another with the prep sink, warming drawer and wine chiller) each island is a complete product within itself and is composed entirely of information. That means that there is no direct cost to offering six different islands, each with their own features and possible options. These islands are presented within the context of the kitchen and they also have their own marketing content that highlights the features and benefits of their unique designs.

The result is that the shopper/buyer can have a continuous personalization experience walking through the products. The more items people have to compare and choose from, the “more products on the shelf,” the more likely they will buy.

The benefit to the builder is the ability to offer a wide range of designed products, such as variations on the loft, at no direct cost, and to present the products on the public web in an intriguing home shopping experience at the convenience of the website visitor.
